This Bootcamp Instructor course provides fitness professionals with the essential skills to safely and effectively deliver engaging group training sessions. Participants will learn risk management, coaching and communication techniques, warm-up and cool-down protocols, group training drills and games, core and posterior chain training, equipment selection, and strategies for creating a positive client experience that drives long-term participation and results.

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Apply risk management principles and operate within their scope of practice
  • Conduct appropriate client screening and maintain safe training environments
  • Demonstrate professionalism, communication, and leadership skills when coaching groups
  • Deliver effective warm-ups and cool-downs that support performance and recovery
  • Incorporate games, drills, and music-based activities to increase engagement
  • Coach core and posterior chain exercises safely and effectively
  • Select and utilise equipment appropriate to participant needs and session objectives
  • Adapt and scale exercises for different fitness levels and abilities
  • Create enjoyable, safe, and results-driven bootcamp sessions
  • Enhance client retention through positive coaching experiences and group dynamics

Prerequisite:

To achieve REPs Ireland CPD points, REPs Ireland members must have a minimum EQF L3 Fitness Instructor qualification. No prior knowledge of bootcamp instructor is required however, for non-REPs Ireland members, assumed knowledge is that the participant has completed either a group fitness instructor, gym floor instructor or personal trainer qualification
