This course gives fitness professionals the knowledge and skills to safely and confidently run engaging bootcamp and group fitness sessions.
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify the boundaries of a fitness professional’s scope of practice.
- Apply a staged approach to equipment selection.
- Consider programming sessions using multiple chains, planes and positions.
- Understand a range of workout formats, including AMRAP, HIIT, circuits, whiteboard and themed workouts
- Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of fitness testing.
- Prepare for common bootcamp challenges
Prerequisite:
To achieve REPs Ireland CPD points, REPs Ireland members must have a minimum EQF L3 Fitness Instructor qualification. No prior knowledge of bootcamp instructor is required however, for non-REPs Ireland members, assumed knowledge is that the participant has completed either a group fitness instructor, gym floor instructor or personal trainer qualification
