This course provides the skills and underpinning knowledge that will enable students to support vegetarians and vegans to have healthy diets. It also explores the health benefits of plant-based diets.
If students are completing this course as part of a diploma, they should complete the Nutrition and Weight Management course before starting this course.
This course can be completed as a standalone course if a student wishes to study for their own interest.
For REPS members wanting to claim CPD points the prerequisite is L3 Nutrition.
The course is assessed by an online exam. Students will need to answer a series of questions to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson content. The exam is timed and students will need to achieve 70% in order to pass. Students are allowed a maximum of 3 attempts to pass the exam.
