The course is a mixture of taught sessions, practical workshops and self-study.  The schedule of delivery has been designed to optimise your learning experience and ensure you get the most out of the course.  The taught sessions are designed to encourage group discussion and share ideas and experience with the other students.  The practical workshops have been designed to give you the knowledge and expertise to become a successful Olympic weightlifting instructor. The course is delivered in an intensive format and you will require some self-study and practice in order for you to get the most from your programme of study.  Course content covers:

  • equipment associated with Olympic weightlifting
  • technique associated with Olympic weightlifting
  • training associated with Olympic weightlifting
  • contraindications
  • screening

Prerequisite: 

Level 3 Personal Trainer
